Rundle’s Win Award for “Country School… One Room – One Nation”

We are pleased to announce that “Country School: One Room – One Nation” has won a 2012 Telly® Award in the “TV Program/Documentary” category! “Country School” was one of over 11,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents.

This is exciting news! Tammy & Kelly Rundle are wonderful filmmakers who are so deserving of this award. We are blessed to have their support on the restoration of Forest Grove School.

  1. I am SO excited about the restoration of the old Forest Grove School. I attended this school from 1950 through it’s closing (kdg. through 5th grade). I have many great memories of this school……before furnaces and indoor plumbing! It was a special time when we got them both installed!!! I played on the swings, the merry go round (ugh….first experience with motion sickness) and my favorite….the Giant Stride!! The wedge shaped lot to the East was a huge baseball field (or so it seemed when I was small) Today it looks very small. I can’t wait to see the documentary and see the school totally restored. I’ve wished for this for many, MANY years!! Thanks to all involved!! Marianne Z.

Be sure to see us at the Alumni table tomorrow evening for a special nametag, ‘updates’ sign-up, and opportunity for us to meet you one-on-one. Please consider coming early, as we anticipate and huge turn-out, and we would hate to sell out the seats before you get to the door. We appreciate your interest in the project and look forward to seeing you at the event tomorrow evening at PV High School! Sharon A, Forest Grove School Preservation
